Christie is a six-time award-winning writer and a two-time award-winning website designer. Her background includes journalism and marketing, which allows her to bring a specialized voice to the marketing solutions she creates for her clients. Christie has written for newspapers, online magazines and major publications. She has created an award-winning marketing company with captivating designs and unique solutions. Her long-time career as an entrepreneur gives her a unique insight into what her clients need to promote their products, services and messages.

Dr. Deborah R. Garrison serves as the inaugural vice chancellor and dean for Indiana University Fort Wayne. Appointed on July 1, 2022, she was selected in a national search and brings over two decades of experience in higher education leadership. Originally from Texas, where she began her career in healthcare in Dallas, she left for the higher education setting to teach at her alma mater, Texas Woman’s University. Before joining IU Fort Wayne, she was appointed in successively more senior roles, from Department Chair and Dean to Vice President for Academic Affairs and a term as Interim President.

As she gained experience in these roles, she also gained higher education leadership acumen through programs such as the Presidential Vocation and Institutional Mission program supported by the Lilly Foundation and conducted through the Council of Independent Colleges, as well as the Senior and Executive Leadership Academies of the American Academic Leadership Institute.

Leadership has been a focus of her academic career, beginning with her dissertation, which examined differences in American and Japanese leadership styles as related to job satisfaction and occupational stress. She strives to lead in a transparent, transformative style and loves learning about ways leaders can create optimal experiences in higher education for students, faculty, and staff.

Deborah is joined in Fort Wayne by her husband, Tom, and their pooch, Gidget.  The Garrisons love the vibrant and entrepreneurial culture of the city and are continually impressed by the kindness and dedication of its citizens. 

Deborah is an ardent advocate for higher education. As a first-generation student herself, she knows the value a college degree brings not only to the person who achieved it, but to their family and to future generations. 

Anne leads Do it Best consumer marketing program and digital marketing initiatives, with a terrific team of skilled specialists, to help our members grow and realize their dreams!

As mandated by the Older Americans Act, the

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program seeks

resolution of problems and advocates for the rights

of residents of long-term care facilities with the

goal of enhancing their quality of life and care.

COMMITED TO CARE AND ADVOCACY

By committing to care and advocacy for residents, I

pledge to dedicate my services to advocate for

residents' quality of life, the uncompromising

demands of dignity, equal access to quality care,

freedom from abuse, as well as neglect and

exploitation. I am always available. I will always be

resident driven.

EACH RESIDENT IS UNIQUE AND DESERVING

I believe care plan meetings should never be "one

size fits all." Recognizing and understanding that

all our residents have their own personal needs,

enables us to help develop a customized plan of

care that respects their specific wishes.

DOING THE GOOD

Doing the good is simple. When it comes down to

it, I am committed and dedicated to giving the

necessary time and energy to always doing the

thing for the residents.

Residents do not live in our facilities,

we work in their homes!

I am an Interior Designer with a focus in computer aided design. 

I am a Family Nurse Practitioner running a medical weight loss and hormone replacement practice via telemedicine. I am a mom of 4 as well.

I help local businesses find IT and cybersecurity solutions that fit their goals—making tech approachable, effective, and aligned with growth through strong relationships and real-world problem solving.
