International Women's Day (IWD) is a global celebration in March around the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. In honor of IWD 2024, the GFW Inc. Women's Network is hosting a luncheon titled "Uncharted Territories: Navigating Success in a Male-Dominated Profession" to celebrate and learn from women that serve and lead in traditionally male-dominated fields. On par with this year's IWD global theme of #InspireInclusion, we believe that women should be recruited, supported, and represented in all careers to drive change in the community.
Our panel will include accomplished women from diverse industries - like the fire and police department, military, STEM, trades, and politics - each sharing their unique journey of resilience and success while breaking through barriers. This luncheon will highlight the significant contributions women make in professions where their presence has historically been underrepresented, eradicate gender stereotypes, and honor the strength women bring to the table.
