Event Description:

Join the GFW Inc. Women's Network for "Let's Grow Together: A Collaborative Approach to Personal Growth & Development", our August luncheon featuring a keynote presentation by Dr. Kristal Walker, Vice President of Employee Wellbeing at Sweetwater.

Every now and then we get an amazing opportunity to take a hard look at ourselves in the mirror to reflect, reinforce, and redirect areas in our lives to become the best version of ourselves. As we strive to be women of virtue, it's important for us to own our personal development so that we are better positioned to flourish professionally. Dr. Walker will help us identify and balance behaviors that hinder our journey to a more meaningful, productive, and fulfilling career and lifestyle.

By the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Articulate the value of self-mastery
  • Define and identify specific behaviors that could trigger self-sabotaging behavior
  • Embrace 5 distinct steps to ignite positive thinking in real-time
This interactive session will require you to complete this free assessment in advance and share your top three Saboteurs with the larger group during the event. We encourage you to register - and while you're at it - feel free to extend the invitation to another amazing woman in your circle!

Meet Our Speaker: Dr. Kristal Walker

Dr. Kristal Walker, CPTM, has worked in the learning, leadership, and organizational development space for over 15 years helping clients engage people, apply processes, and implement technology to improve human and organizational performance. She currently serves as the vice president of employee well-being at Sweetwater Sound, where she is responsible for crafting and leading wellness, diversity and inclusion (D&I), and training initiatives. She is also a Training Industry Courses instructor, where she teaches the CPTM designation, as well as courses on design thinking and the new D&I Inclusion workshop for which she authored.

A teacher by trade and a thought leader by temperament, Dr. Walker brings great value to the partnerships and relationships she has built over the course of her career. Her passion for personal and professional transformation in others continue to heighten her interest in creating impactful learning experiences.

Dr. Walker's education prepared her well for her current and future endeavors. Though she earned an undergraduate degree in human services, a graduate degree in management and organizational leadership, and a doctorate of management degree in organizational leadership, she is committed to forever being a student of her craft. She holds the Certified Professional in Training Management as a true testament of "practicing what she preaches". She is also certified in analyzing Caliper Essentials and PDP ProScan, TeamScan, and JobScan Assessment data, which allows her to provide expert coaching and strategy in building talent from selection through succession. When it's all said and done, she takes great pleasure in being the wife to her loving and supportive husband, and the mother to her amazing children.
