Time: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM EDT

Event Description:

As female leaders, we have passion and power but collectively we can have impact. It's no secret that women who support women are more successful in business, so we are intentionally pulling together the many groups in Fort Wayne / Allen County to amplify our efforts and have more fun along the way! Join the GFW Inc. Women's Network for "Better Together: The Catalyst for Positive Change in Our Communities", a half-day conference that will focus on:
  • Empowering leaders to celebrate unity within parties.
  • Valuing collaboration over competition to strategically problem solve.
  • Raising your voice when it matters most.
  • Equipping you to become more courageous, creative, and informed citizens who take ownership to make a difference in your communities.
Our opening keynote presentation will feature Janet Burt, COO and Director of Operations & Programs with The Policy Circle. Janet will give us the opportunity to participate in a Policy Circle roundtable discussion on community issues facing business owners and residents of Greater Fort Wayne. Take a moment before our event to review our selected brief titled "Stitching the Fabric of Neighborhoods"  to spark ideas for action and engagement. Members of the Fort Wayne and Indiana Policy Circles will share their experience and resources as facilitators during the discussion. The event will conclude with an interactive plenary session with Councilwoman Sharon Tucker and final keynote session with Councilwoman Michelle Chambers on how we can drive positive change in Allen County and the surrounding communities.

Event Details:
  • Free parking is available onsite in university garage #2.
