Event Description:

As female leaders, we have passion and power but collectively we can have impact. It's no secret that women who support women are more successful in business, so we are intentionally pulling together the diverse groups in Fort Wayne / Allen County to amplify our efforts and have more fun along the way! Join the GFW Inc. Women's Network for "Better Together: Economic Empowerment & Equity for Women", a half-day conference that will focus on:
  • Raising awareness and addressing local / national employment issues + opportunities for women.
  • Empowering and equipping leaders with tools to be more informed, courageous, and confident in what they bring to the table.
  • Valuing collaboration over competition to drive positive change in our communities.

Our opening keynote presentations will feature PNC Bank's Project 257: Accelerating Women's Financial Equality Initiative and the Women's Fund of Greater Fort Wayne Allen County Women & Girls Study on Economic Security. They will lead us into a panel discussion with local business owners and executive leaders from diverse industries on their struggles, successes, and how to tap into your fullest potential. The mid-morning will include breakout sessions with subject matter experts on the following topics:
  • Financial Freedom: Getting Savvy About Money
  • The Balancing Act: Understanding Personal Credit
  • Building Your Confidence in Financial Literacy (*Spanish speaking track)
  • Salary Negotiation: Knowing Your Worth & Asking For What You Deserve
  • Social Impact: Philanthropic Investment & Charitable Giving
  • Leaving Your Legacy: Succession & Retirement Planning
The conference will conclude with an interactive connection activity and door prizes.
