Allen County Leaders Luncheon: "The Impact of an Aging Population & Costs of Caregiving"
Allen County Leaders Luncheons are designed to inspire, inform, and educate with keynote speakers chosen for their relevance to you and your community.
Did you know that by 2030, 1 in 6 people will be over the age of 60 due to increased life expectancy and slowing birth rates? An estimated 1 in 4 people will also become a caregiver for a loved one during their lifetime.
Join us for a conversation around the implications of an aging population and the costs of caregiving on the community, employers, and families or individuals. At this luncheon, we will learn from subject matter experts and hear success stories from organizations that advocate for the vulnerable and underrepresented. This event will shine a light on the opportunities and challenges of an aging population, such as:
- the economic impact of a shrinking workforce and labor shortages
- housing and infrastructure needs that cater to the mobility and accessibility of the elderly
- preparation for caregivers and employers with caregiving staff
