Fort Wayne, IN, October 18, 2017 – Glenbrook Square’s first activity-based store catering to adults as well as children is celebrating its grand opening October 20-22 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on Friday, October 20.
Owned by local entrepreneurs Brian Army and David Craker, The Wick Works is a do-it-yourself, custom-scented, all-natural, soy candle, body-care and home fragrance store.
Customers may purchase from over one hundred single-scented candles, or with guidance from the store’s staff, may make their own scent combinations. Customers can select a store-provided container available in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors or may also bring in their own heat-safe containers to make into a candle. Brides may design a signature scent for candles for their wedding ceremony, reception and thank you gifts.
Beside candles, customers may also make wax melts, reed diffusers, body mists, room sprays, spa salts, fragrance oils, and bar soaps in scent combinations of their choice. Lotions and hand soap will soon be added to the product mix. The candles are slow-burning and longer-lasting than standard, store-bought candles. They also retain their full scent for the life of the candles. All of The Wick Works’ candle, body care and home fragrance products are made in-house.
“At The Wick Works customers make premium, soy-based candles that have an all-natural cotton wick and no chemical additives in a fun, engaging and creative DIY experience.” Brian Army, co-owner and store manager, said.
“Glenbrook Square is excited to add The Wick Works to its tenant mix because it adds a new and exciting option to engage mall customers,” Brian Cote, Glenbrook Square’s General Manager said.
The process to select fragrances and make the products takes about 30 minutes. “We recommend mall-goers stop by The Wick Works first, and while their wax products cool, they can enjoy shopping and dining at Glenbrook Square. In about 90 minutes, their products will be ready to take home,” David Craker, co-owner and business manager, said. “The Wick Works makes an excellent date night activity or unique venue for bachelorette parties, girls’ night outs, bridal or baby showers, and birthday, staff and holiday parties.
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The store phone number is 260-467-9654, and the website is www.thewickworks.com. Customers can also find The Wick Works on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using @thewickworks.
