Join us on Saturday, October 7th, as we put the science in science fiction. The third annual Sci-Fi Central Mini-convention celebrates science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comic books and more. Are you an enormous pop culture fan but don't want to drive to Chicago or Indy to attend one of those big conventions? Well, come join us for the day at Science Central, where we will provide all the elements you might enjoy at one of the large conventions, but in a more inviting, family-friendly environment. Expected guests include the 501st Legion, the Midwest R2 Builder's Club, the Northern Steppes Chapter of Dagorhir, V.R. gaming with Fortlan and Skeletunes, and more. Come dressed as your favorite characters, take photos with classic and new Star Wars characters in front of the Death Star or in our miniature X-Wing or join a gaming session. Also coming back this year: Steam Punk and Harry Potter activities! Experience the awesome possibilities of 3D printing by the ACPL Maker Lab. Be sure to buy from the vendors in the marketplace both inside of the building and outside.
