Greater Fort Wayne Inc., Elevate Ventures, and Electric Works developers Cross Street Partners have engaged Techstars to develop a Road Map to accelerate the growth of our region’s startup community. Leading the process on behalf of Techstars is Chris Heivly, co-founder of MapQuest and a champion of Raleigh/Durham’s tech community.

About Chris Heivly, Techstars Lead for the Fort Wayne Road Map
Chris is an early-stage investor and entrepreneur. He co-founded MapQuest, managed a $25M corporate venture fund, and has led various early-stage companies as CEO/COO. He is also a co-founder of The Startup Factory, a five-year, Techstars-like accelerator. In 2009, Heivly used the formative elements of Techstars’ model to build the Raleigh/Durham startup ecosystem. Today, Raleigh/Durham is one of the nation’s best high-growth communities with thousands of startups, early-stage capital, and more than $1B in exits over the past five years. Chris recently joined Techstars to leverage collective experiences to help communities optimize their ecosystem goals.
