Giacomo Puccini's passionate and theatrical opera tells the tale of the fiery diva Tosca, her artist and revolutionary lover Cavaradossi, and the corrupt police chief Scarpia, before whom all of Rome trembles. Tosca includes some of the most beautiful arias in the repertoire and since its premiere in 1900, audiences remain spellbound by its themes of sadistic lust and political intrigue.
