This concert celebrates the Philharmonic’s new “Debut Artist Spotlight” with an emerging soloist from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Kurt Weill once said, “I have never acknowledged the difference between serious music and light music. There is only good music and bad music.” Primarily known as the composer of The Threepenny Opera and "Mack the Knife," his Symphony No. 2 has found a prominent place in concert halls across the world.
